Penn State's Bill O'Brien gets the best of the Wisconsin Badgers again

Christian Hackenberg, Bill O' Brien

For the second consecutive season, the Wisconsin Badgers were out-coached by Penn State's Bill O'Brien.

O'Brien had the Badgers defense confused on numerous occasions in a 31-24 upset win at Camp Randall.

Wisconsin's coach Gary Andersen summed it up by saying, "we were schemed up by a very good football coach."

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions: Thanksgiving brutally honest preview

Aaron Rodgers movember

It feels like it's been an eternity since the Green Bay Packers' 22-9 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 5.
Interestingly enough, the Lions were without superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson back then and now the Packers are without their superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in part two of the series.

Will the Packers look as lost as the Lions did without Calvin or will they finally rise to the challenge? Does anyone want to win the NFC North?

These are the questions that fans want answered on Thanksgiving 2013.

#15 Wisconsin Badgers vs. Penn State: brutally honest preview

Mike Hull, James White

The Wisconsin Badgers have to be happy with where they're at after beating previously-ranked #25 Minnesota and jumping four spots in the BCS Standings all the way up to #15.

With one game remaining against Penn State, the Badgers have pretty much assured themselves a spot in the top-14 if they win. This means that they could be asked to play in a BCS game if the all the chips fall right.

Not so fast though, Penn State knocked off the Badgers in an overtime thriller last year and it would make the program look a lot better if they could do it again.

The Green Bay Packers haven't hit the panic button yet, but it could happen soon if they fall to the division-rival Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.

#19 Wisconsin Badgers vs. #25 Minnesota: brutally honest preview

Axe Badgers 2012

If someone told you that the Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Gophers would face off with matching 8-2 records and both be ranked in the BCS Standings, you probably would have slapped them and told them to go back to the one of the 10,000 lakes that they may be from.

All joking aside, the #19 Badgers and #25 Gophers are two of the hottest teams in college football right now and the 2013 Battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe has huge implications on the bowl outlook for the Big Ten.

Frank the Tank vs_edited-1

Bo Ryan and the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team unleashed their version of "Frank the Tank" at the Kohl Center on Tuesday Night.

Only this Frank the Tank doesn't perform keg stands and go streaking through the Quad or at least we presume this to be the case.

The Badgers' Frank the Tank, a.k.a. Frank Kaminsky, went off for a school-record 43 points on 16-of-19 shooting in a 103-85 win over North Dakota.

The numbers behind Indiana's nightmare with the Wisconsin Badgers

James White vs. Indiana

With a 51-3 shellacking of the Indiana Hoosiers, the Wisconsin Badgers improved upon a nine-game winning streak that has been downright horrifying for the Hoosiers.

In those nine games, the Badgers have outscored the Hoosiers 467-136 and averaged 346.0 rushing yards per game.

Wisconsin Badgers beat Indiana 51-3 in a stampede

Jared Abbrederis vs. Indiana

There's only two ways to make people around the country notice an underrated team and that's to pull a huge upset or obliterate your opponent like never before.

The Wisconsin Badgers went with the latter today as they racked up 554 rushing yards in a 51-3 win over the Indiana Hoosiers.

Wisconsin had three rushers go over 100 yards for the third time this season, including James White who went for a career-high 205 on the ground.

Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants: brutally honest preview

clay matthews club

Quarterback Scott Tolzien will make his second career start for the Green Bay Packers and linebacker Clay Matthews is set to lose the club on his right hand.

The Packers will need all the help they can get to avoid coming out flat when they travel to MetLife Stadium to play the New York Giants.

If Green Bay can't limit the damage with Aaron Rodgers out, this will be the team's only trip to MetLife this season (the site of this year's Super Bowl).

BYU's Kyle Van Noy is still a highly regarded prospect

kyle van Noy prospect

Not many BYU players shined in a 27-17 loss to Wisconsin, but one that did was senior linebacker Kyle Van Noy.

Van Noy could have easily left school last year and been a first or second round draft pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Instead, he returned and has played with his signature tenacity, keeping him atop draft boards for the upcoming draft.

#22 Wisconsin Badgers vs. Indiana Hoosiers: brutally honest preview

Joel Stave IU preview

When it comes to the Wisconsin Badgers and Indiana Hoosiers, history tends to repeat itself.

Not only has Indiana not beaten Wisconsin since 2002, the Badgers have averaged 52.0 points to the Hoosiers' 16.6 points over their previous eight games.

The Hoosiers would like nothing more than to buck the trend and spoil the Badgers' reputation in the last season of the BCS system.

Wisconsin's James White is the most 'complete' back in all of college football

James White and Melvin Gordon dance

He may not be as big as Ohio State's Carlos Hyde or as fast as Oregon's De'Anthony Thomas, but you will be hard-pressed to find a running back in all of college football as complete as he is.

Heck, he's not even the fastest or biggest running back on his team.

The running back we're talking about is the Wisconsin Badgers senior and jack-of-all-trades, James White.

James White vs. BYU

Wisconsin Badgers Head Coach Gary Andersen ended one of his post-game statements with "7-2 baby," and deservedly so.

Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles: brutally honest preview

Packers vs. Bears

The time has come for everyone to see how good the Green Bay Packers really are when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles without their superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers broke his collarbone in a loss to the Chicago Bears while the Eagles are fresh off a performance where their quarterback, Nick Foles, threw seven touchdowns in just three quarters of play.

Both the Packers and Eagles are in the thick of very competitive divisional races, so there’s no reason to think this game doesn’t matter for either side.

Wisconsin (No. 24) and BYU (not ranked) need to move up the BCS rankings for bowl purposes and this could realistically be their last chance to make a significant push.
