Week Fifteen Fantasy Predictions from Nick and Chad

Nick's Record (49-45 overall) (4-24 in points predictions) = 57 points (1-2 in week fourteen)
Chad's Record (56-38 overall) (4-24 in points predictions) = 64 points
(1-2 in week fourteen)

Winner's Bracket (a.k.a. Playoffs)

What's At Stake: This is what it's all about in fantasy football, PLAYOFFS! After a grueling 13 weeks of fantasy match-ups and a play-in game, we our down to eight teams. Just as a friendly reminder, here's what the eight teams are ultimately battling for:

1st Place - $145 + Fantasy Trophy ($15) + Fantasy Championship (priceless)
2nd Place - $80
3rd Place - $25

1.) #9 Team Merrill (Seth Merrill) (6-7) vs. #1 Team Szmanda (Jason Szmanda) (9-4)

Nick's Outlook: Team Merrill's Sidney Rice (proj. of 7) was a Monday Night Hero as Seth edged out Joe and Wizard Killer in this year's play-in game. Now he steps into the ring with the #1-seeded Team Szmanda who had a uncharacteristically bad week during the bye. Fortunately for Jason, the match-ups look better this week including Kerry Collins (proj. of 15, pictured above) against Houston and Vernon Davis (proj. of 11) against the Chargers. Seth's Maurice Jones-Drew (proj. of 17) will make it close, but I like the #1 seed to advance.
Nick's Prediction: Team Szmanda

Chad's Prediction: Team Szmanda

2.) #5 Team Lowenberg (Nick Lowenberg) (7-6) vs. #4 Team Breiby (Chad Breiby) (8-5)

Nick's Outlook: Of all the playoff match-ups, this may be the most intriguing one. Team Breiby has been one of the most consistent teams this season with Peyton Manning (proj. of 23), LeSean McCoy (proj. of 10) and Arian Foster (proj. of 20) all stepping up on different occasions. While Team Lowenberg has struggled at times, he looks primed for a big week this week. Roddy White (proj. of 16) should shred a bad Seahawks secondary and you would have to think Ronnie Brown (proj. of 13) or Ricky Williams (proj. of 14) will breakout against the Buffalo Bills. I think Brown and Williams have big weeks, meaning an upset of Team Breiby.
Nick's Prediction: Team Lowenberg

Chad's Prediction: Team Breiby

3.) #6 Team Lee (Isaac Lee) (7-6) vs. #3 Team McCarthy (Matt McCarthy) (9-4)

Nick's Outlook: Team McCarthy is on a tear; he didn't even need a wide-out to approach 150 fantasy points last week. Not only that, Matt comes into the playoffs a winner of his last seven match-ups. The group of Michael Turner (proj. of 16), Knowshon Moreno (proj. of 15) and Darren McFadden (proj. of 25) are the best in the fantasy league. Expect these guys to combine for almost sixty points and take Matt to the next round. I don't even need to mention Team Lee's team.
Nick's Prediction: Team McCarthy
Chad's Prediction: Team McCarthy

4.) #7 Team Grande (Anthony Grande) (7-6) vs. #2 The Rippin and the Tearin (Rory Linton) (7-6)

Nick's Outlook: Oh, how I missed watching Rory's team in action. Michael Vick (proj. of 24) is fantasy nuts and takes on the New York Giants in a very important divisional match-up. Even though the match-up is bad for fantasy purposes, Vick will find a way to get his points. I really like Jahvid Best (proj. of 13) against a Tampa Bay team which allowed the Redskins' Ryan Torain to run all over them. Don't count out Team Grande just yet as he does have Andre Johnson (proj. of 16) and Ahmad Bradshaw (proj. of 15). Despite the favorable match-ups, won't go big enough, thus I can't pick against Rory's sexy fantasy team.
Nick's Prediction: The Rippin and the Tearin

Chad's Prediction: The Rippin and Tearin

Consolation Ladder (a.k.a Loser's Bracket)

What's At Stake: For those five teams who didn't make the playoffs, don't give up because there's a valuable prize to be won in the loser's bracket. For the owner and team who can rise above the rest will be awarded with their choice of draft position in next season's fantasy league. That's right, pick #1 overall, last, or somewhere between, it's all up to you! Just remember that this is a ladder and not a bracket, meaning if you lose, there still exists the chance to fight back up the ladder in four total games.

1.) #13 Free Victory (Tim Harwood) (5-8) vs. #11 Team Klitzman (Kari Klitzman) (5-8)

Nick's Outlook: Basically by default, Free Victory has fought his way to the top of the ladder, that's how bad Bobby's Sad-Asses were last week. Team Klitzman put together a heroic performance from Derrick Mason and Joe Flacco (proj. of 12) to knock off Team Grays. She looks to retain her spot at the top with Hakeem Nicks (proj. of 15) back and healthy. Tim is still without a quarterback as Brett Favre (proj. of 0) is not sure to go and if he does, will he provide many points anyways?
Nick's Prediction: Team Klitzman

Chad's Prediction: Team Klitzman

2.) #14 Team Szombatfalvy (Mike Szombatfalvy) (3-10) vs. #10 Team Grays (Nick Grays) (6-7)
Nick's Outlook: Team Szombatfalvy went for 100+ last week. He must be asking his self where that production was in the regular season. My match-up won't be an easy one as Mike's Chris Johnson (proj. of 22) has finally awoken from hibernation and Philip Rivers (proj. of 17) still has an outside shot at the MVP award. For what seems the millionth time, I will pick myself to win behind big days from Jamaal Charles (proj. of 18) and Josh Freeman (proj. of 18).
Nick's Prediction: Team Grays

Chad's Prediction: Team Grays

Bye Weeks: #12 Bobby's Sad-Asses

Points Predictions

What's At Stake: Make sure your line-ups are ready to go by gametime because the $5 baller pot is available to any team for the remaining three weeks.

Nick's Prediction: Highest (Team McCarthy) and Lowest (Free Victory)

Chad's Prediction: Highest (Team McCarthy) and Lowest (Free Victory)
