Not a fan of Streak on Fridays!

1.) Olympic Ice Hockey 2:00 PM Finland vs. USA
The only thing standing between the USA and an epic rematch with those pesky Canadians (assuming Canada beats Slovakia) is a #4 seeded Finland hockey team! The Streak-master knows the heavy majority will pick the USA who is actually favored in this matchup, thus why Finland gets the tie or win. I have a feeling the Americans will struggle to put the puck in the goal early similar to their match-up with Switzerland, but in the end will pull it out, don't be surprised if the game goes into a shootout and Finland wins the prop. Fridays are a slow day on the streak board with the absense of legit college basketball props, so sit back in the recliner and enjoy some good old fashioned hockey and who knows you could extend your streak by one!

Big Ten Battle On the Streak!

1.) NCB 6:00 PM Illinois Fighting Illini (17-10) @ Michigan Wolverines (13-13)
As a Badgers fan, I think I can say I know a little about the Big Ten and I have watched both of these teams this year. I suspect the Streak Master is putting this game up because the game is in a primetime ESPN slot. The match-up is a battle between two similar middle of the pack Big Ten teams, however I believe the Fighting Illini consistently play a little better than the Wolverines. Tomorrow night will feature two of the premier big men in the conference with Illinois' Mike Tisdale and Michigan's DeShawn Sims as well as some great guards at the point in Illinois' Demetri McCamey and Michigan's Manny Harris. This won't be your typical Big Ten game, Illinois averages 72.6 ppg and Michigan puts in 65.5 ppg, I expect those numbers to easily be surpassed in a barn-burner at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor. Illinois is not a bad team on the road at 5-4 with a huge Big Ten win at the Kohl Center where the Badgers never lose. On the other side, Michigan is coming off a loss at home to the Penn State Nittany Lions (10-16) and a bad loss against Wisconsin in their previous home game on the 2/6. Expect Illinois to play hard in order to stay in the mix of the top half of the Big Ten standings while Michigan continues to struggle.

Interesting Note: The two teams split the series last year by winning each of their respective home games, something to consider because both teams returned most of their starters from last year.

Streak For Cash Fun!!!!

In anticipation of the all-new March edition of Streak For Cash (the game restarts each month for $100,000), I thought of a way to be more active on my blog. Every night that I can, I'm going to quickly preview a few match-ups slated for the next day on ESPN's streak for cash (click here to join). After joining, go to the my group tab and join the group "Madison Streakers"! I'm not really going to tell anyone who to pick, just give my opinion on teams I've seen and try to explain why the streak master has picked the game to be on the board! Until next month, this will be for practice, good luck streaking guys!!!!

1.) 6:00 PM NBA Chicago Bulls (29-26) @ Washington Wizards (19-34)
Hmmm, the Bulls are surging and the Wizards shipped away their two best players in Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler, what gives? Chicago has won four straight while the Wizards have won 3 of their last 4 games, including a big win over the Denver Nuggets at home on Feb. 19th. The Bulls won the first match-up back on Jan. 19th in double overtime, but that result can't be taken very seriously seeing that the teams are much different right now. I suspect the majority of streakers to pick the Bulls and so does the Streak Master, watch out for a decent-looking Wizards team at home right now!

2.) 6:00 PM NCAAM BBALL # WV Mountaineers (21-5) @ UCONN Huskies (16-11)
If the NBA doesn't tickle your fancy at 6 o' clock, check out this seemingly lopsided Big East battle! People are not sure what to think of this Connecticut basketball team with their only signature wins coming against an also-questionable Texas team and at Villanova. However, the Huskies boast an impressive 14-3 home record and Bob Huggins' West Virginia squad has been shooting poorly in their last couple of games. If the Huskies can go into Philadelphia and beat Villanova, I wouldn't put it past them to beat the Mountaineers at home. Even though the Streak Master put this game on the board, don't be fooled into thinking he feels UCONN will win, it is the primetime ESPN game, I expect it to be a close one!
